Privacy Policy

Kazolt ("we", "this site") is a free troubleshooting guide. We try to collect as little information as possible. This page explains what happens when you visit.
Information we collect
We don't ask for your name, email or any other personal information, and there are no user accounts. We don't use analytics or advertising trackers.
Information stored on your device
When you tick steps on a fix checklist, your progress is saved in your own browser's local storage so it's still there when you come back. This information never leaves your device and isn't sent to us. You can clear it at any time with the "Reset" button on the checklist or by clearing your browser's site data.
Hosting
This site is hosted by a third-party web host. Like almost all web hosts, it may automatically record basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. It uses this to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We don't use these logs to identify visitors. Our host, Cloudflare, may also set a small, strictly necessary security cookie to block abusive bots, and it hides the contact email address from spam robots. These aren't used to track you for advertising.
Videos and photos
Some guides include repair videos from YouTube. A video doesn't load anything from YouTube until you tap play. When you do, it plays in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), and YouTube (Google) may then collect information under Google's privacy policy. If you'd rather not, you can skip the video. The written steps cover everything.
Photos on this site are stored on our own site, so viewing them doesn't contact anyone else.
Amazon affiliate links
Kazolt is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. When you click a link to Amazon, Amazon may use cookies and collect information according to its own privacy policy. We don't receive any personal information about you from Amazon, only anonymous totals of qualifying purchases.
Children's privacy
This site doesn't knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the site works, for example by adding analytics, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
