The controller has reached its maximum safe temperature, and the system has cut power to protect it. After a long or hard ride, letting it cool is the fix. If it happens without much riding, a shop should check it.

1. 1Switch off and let it coolFree Turn the system off and give the controller time to cool before riding again.
2. 2Use a lower assist levelFree Drop to a lower assist level, especially on long climbs, so the motor and controller work less hard.
3. 3Make sure air can reach the motor and controllerFree Bags, covers or packed mud around the motor or controller trap heat. Clear them away.
4. 4Check that the wheels spin freelyFree Lift each wheel and spin it by hand. Grinding, dragging or a rubbing brake makes the motor work harder.
5. 5Have the controller testedShop job If the wiring checks out, the controller may be faulty. A shop can test it and replace it if needed.
